There's a mammoth in the atrium!

In the atrium at work they set up a woolly mammoth and a woolly rhino. These are actual fossils, not reproductions. Both are from Siberia, and are 10 - 15 thousand years old. The rhino is cute, he's like the little puppy sidekick for the mammoth. They're for sale, too. For $150,000 you can have one for your very own.

2/10/09 Snow in Tucson

It made a bit of snow in Tucson today. Some parts of town got a decent amount, but at my house there was very litte, as you can see.

I took this pic of the Catalinas as I was driving home for lunch.

The parking garage at work was full due to the gem show, so I had to park on the upper deck. The parking situation did afford a nice view of the Unisource Tower.

Bisbee trip

I went to Bisbee today to fix some printers. On the way through the Mule Mountains, the clouds were rolling in FAST, and it was getting very ominous, very quickly.

A couple hours later, everything was sunny and bright. Here's the Copper Queen Hotel in Old Town Bisbee. Place is haunted, they say. I stayed there once, and didn't see/hear squat.

The Mule Mountains in the rear-view.
